Sometimes life in a city can be frightfully dry and in a city like Mumbai ; the skies then do their bit at making you feel a little better when you watch them weeping as they gaze upon a sight that they long to be a part of .All these tears collected from the clouds as they sail over our city wash out towards a mystical - spiritual watering hole - Marine Drive .
Marine drive is one of those places that one can only hope to 'describe' but never dare to succeed at . Geographically Marine Drive is nothing more than a road that runs along the sea creating a thin grin upon the face of this city ( a peep from the skies and i bet that all the gods would see is a mischievous child smiling back at its creator ) a stroke of a brush pushing back the sea is somewhat of a fantasy , but many of Mumbai 's dwellers find themselves walking this supposed - yellow road brick road at least once in their lives .Contributing to the smile that adds its magic to our city .
Yes Marine Drive is a spiritual watering hole to and it also does its job as a wishing well too where people seem to visit this pathway in order to either gain or lose something , where the sad spirited souls leave with nothing less than a smile on their face and the happy souls feeling at ease as they share their moments of ecstasy .The yellow or blue stained sky and the thundering waters of the sea listen to everyone's story and allow their children to walk away from Marine Drive with a little more courage as they move on to face the next challenge that their city throws at them .
Be it anything Marine Drive always has something to give whenever you visit , the sea is our Guru as it inspires us to be a bit like itself brave and strong , yet gentle and patient , an important mantra when it comes to getting through a day in Mumbai .
So if you have nothing to do today hit the Marine Drive in Bombay .
